The General Zaragoza Society is a 75-year-old nonprofit organization providing recognition to local leaders, first responders, community organizers, humanitarians, educators and outstanding youth in our community. Our goal is to recognize these remarkable people and their accomplishments.

The General Zaragoza Society is well-known for our Cinco de Mayo banquet. This celebration is completely free to the public (free parking, free entertainment and free admission). Our society is named in honor of Ignacio S. Zaragoza, whose victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla is commemorated every year on May 5-Cinco de Mayo.
